Oregon!!

So you are all wondering how sanFrancisco is going well unfortunately we could not get an appointment until August 19th. So me and my mom decided to continue the train trip to Oregon. So after seeing Covenant at church on Sunday Elaine took me to the train station and we got there at 8:00pm and I found out the train was an hour late and so I stayed there and continued to read my book. Then the train was there. So I got on had trouble finding my seat, and sat with this older woman. And read my book until I was done with it at about 1am. Then I talked a little with the woman across the aisle and how she was going back home to spokanne. So I slept at about 1:30am and kept waking up until about two thirty. So the other women across the aisle told me that we were in spokanne and that the seat in front of me was available. So I said thanks and moved up and slept until about 5am because I got a new neighbor and went right back to sleep and woke up at about 6am. And my neighbor was gone. So I sat up and then just sat there looking bored for a half an hour. But then the woman who told me that the seatw were open from spokanne, came and sat next to me and we started talking she was 19 and worked in a hospiital. All of a sudden we became train buddies. So we had been talking for about 4 hours until finally we came to portland. We traded phone numbers and have been talking since. and now I am at my cousins house and have been at the beach. It has been a blast!

Happy Bastille Day!!

Well today July 14th is Bastille Day! Now you are probably wondering just what is Bastille Day well let me tell you and I will tell you in English!!
In Paris on July 14, 1789. But First what is Bastille???? Well, Bastille was a prison in Paris that was considered or represented the authority of Paris. But you want to know a fun fact there was only 7 prisoners in the prison when it was stormed. Now around this time the French Revolution was occuring, which was a time of great murder and amazing leaders(maybe not in the sense that they were good but that they were amzing leaders). It started with famine, economic issues, and problems with the Old Regime or Leader. Louis XVI was the ruler and due to all the recent battles such as the American Revolution and Seven Years War France was in major debt. The storming of the Bastille and the later Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen (which was made in mind of only men and pissed some pretty strong women off), was the third event of this opening stage of the revolution. The first had been the rebellion of the higher class, refusing to aid King Louis XVI through the payment of taxes. The second had been the formation of the National Assembly and the Tennis Court Oath.
On the morning of 14 July 1789, the city of Paris was in a state of alarm. The demonstrators had earlier stormed the Hôtel des Invalides to gather arms (29,000 to 32,000 muskets, but without powder or shot), and were mainly seeking to acquire the large quantities of arms and ammunition stored at the Bastille. On the 14th there were over 30,000 lbs of gunpowder stored there.
The crowd gathered outside around mid-morning, calling for the surrender of the prison, the removal of the guns and the release of the arms and gunpowder. Anyways it was overrun with revolutionaries. As an interesting historical footnote, the key to the Bastille now resides in George Washington's residence of Mount Vernon. It was sent to him by Lafayette in 1790 as a peace offering.
Now you know some French history!!

FINALEMONT!!!!!!!!(finish in french)!!!!!!!

I have finished my coat and I know you will like the finished project. It's going with me to France and since I made it I have come up with a signature for all of my clothes that I make. Towards the end of my project I put a royal purple color thread that was small and very hard to find. I did this because I was out of black thread. So that has become my signature so that you can tell it is my clothes whenever I make it big (which will be soon). Right now I am making aprons. I'll give you pictures as soon as I finish!

Yay!!(not)lol, but actually i am enjoying doing my speech it is on a really interesting topic, The Effects of Solitary Confinement on Prisoners, Even though there is little research on the subject, it is very controversial.

But off of that I have to thank whoever donated $50 here and then to Schhellinger Construction from Columbia Falls, MT who sponsored me another $50!. I am so Excited, France is coming even closer. Yesterday, I recieved my AFS packet of everything I need to know and do in France along with what I to expect before, after, and during France.

I also have sent out a bunch more sponsorship letters to many type of businesses and people! This includes people, who I hope with all my heart to at least send a letter, like Ellen Degeneres, Oprah, Editor of Seventeen Magazine, and many others.(!!!!) It would be so exciting to get some letters or acknowledgment from them! (and again, !!!!)

In my textile class at school I am about 60% done with sewing my first Coat! I promise to put picture up as soon as it is done for you to all view!!!

As a Thank You!!!!

4400 down and 6500 to go

Well if you are wondering what that means, I will tell you, Today I recieved an email from afs scholarship committee. Which means that they have processed my scholarship and they can tell me how much money I am getting or if I am getting any. So as I open my email and sign in and all of that junk. I notice AFSScholarships in the contact line about halfway down the page. All of a sudden my palms become sweaty and my heart starts to race as i notice and start to realize that this helps or hurts my dreams. Yet I take my time in deleting my emails which are complete spam and thinking over all the possibilities of how I could of gotten all of this money or none at all. Finally all of my spam and is erased, the emails that need to be read are read, and all thats waiting is one email in bold which (once again just to clarify)could help or hurt me. So I finally clicked on the email, and as I waited for the email to load I was getting so many jitters and then finally it was up and it said that I had been given 3,567 dollars for financial aid and then I thought that with the 900 dollar deposit gave me 4467 dollars paid. But unfortunately I still have another 6,533 dollars left but I have until August 15th. So thank you to those of you that are helping and thank god even those that have only given a dollar it still helps.

Education at Work

So far it has been about two weeks and no donations so far. But even though funds are low, I have great news! My application and my $900 dollars deposit are in finally! This means my application can be sent abroad. This is all going so fast it is kind of scary. I have figured out that if i have 10,000 people donate one dollar i would practically have all of my tuition. Or have 5,000 people donate 2.00 or 2,500 people donate 4 dollars I would have my tuition(My hard math skills are being put to the test here, which shows i can keep up with the math curriculm). I know that we are in a recession and lots and lots of people can't really help me but if you can spare a few change even .50 it is greatly appreciated. Every penny helps to make a dollar! Thanks!

About Me

Growing up traveling around Washington from Redmond to Seattle. Then moving to Great Falls, Montana when I was in third grade. 5 Years later moving before my freshman year of high school to Kalispell, Montana. In Washington it was rain, sleepovers, and a lot more rain. When I came to Montana it was summer and snowing. I had a blast hanging out with friends, joining clubs, participating in sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, track, and many more that I can’t think of), enduring the psychotic weather, but most of all hanging with my best friends around town or at each other’s houses. Moving to Kalispell was hard when it was right before high school and I only knew one person who had moved from great falls to Kalispell a few years earlier(we still fight over who followed who). Even though it was two weeks before school started and even though it was hard I met one of my best friends in my first class and she is still my best friend to this day.
Ever since I was little I have always had the aspiration to be a fashion designer. I think it all started when I came to Montana. I know that sounds cheesy, right, the small town girl needs to get out but it was always so much more than that. It started when I was in Washington and I wanted to be a cowgirl that lassoed everything and that always wore a cowboy hat and rode horses (I loved horses and still do).But I guess I also did not realize how much I loved to go to the mall and to hang out in crowded places. I sure realized that when I came to Montana. I realized how much I loved to express myself through clothes and characters. Along with the dream of being a fashion designer came with the dream to see The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and so many other places. Paris is the home of fashion and I wanted to go there and have my designs in Fashion Week. I dreamed of all the taffeta, silk and tulle. I dreamed of my walk on the runway afterwards and me being a revolution in design and clothes. I have been taking textile design class and I think my skills improved immensely even if it has been for a few weeks. I have learned so much and gotten so many ideas and outrageous designs.
I think if I had the chance to go to France I could do so much more with my life. I don’t know why I think that but I believe that I would be able to experience so much more and think that I could accomplish so much more. If you do help me by sponsoring me I would greatly appreciate it. My dream of going to France is everything I could ever want. And if you do sponsor me I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And God Bless You.
